night sledging with kisc

4/2/15

It was Ana, Rachael and I working today.  I was able to sleep late until 8:30 because I wasn't on morning Reception or breakfast!  We had morning meeting and then headed off with our jobs.  Today was going to be a funny day.  We had the staff from Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC) visiting this afternoon for a visit and fro night sledding. This meant we had a bit of a mixed up day!  We finished all our jobs, finally finishing with folding the laundry.  We filmed some of it for our movie, and had a 'dance' party at the same time!

As the afternoon was planned full of activities with the KISC people, we had to organize dinner at the same tome as making lunch.  Lunch was unexciting leftovers and salad, but dinner was Alpine Macaroni with Apple Sauce and Broccoli.  Ana got creative with the labeling of food stuffs for the guest fridge ...

Just as we were cleaning up the mess we had made in the kitchen from cooking, the KISC staff arrived.  In total their were 28 of them, arriving in a mix of a van and cars.  Once we had finished in the kitchen we went out to join them in the Dining Hall.  Chloe was running games throughout the afternoon.  We played an assortment of games including the chocolate game, psychology, 'fishing' and Kim's game.

We had an early dinner, served at 5 pm.  The KISC staff helped us to rearrange the dinning room so it was back in a reasonable order so we could have dinner.  Once we finished dinner, we cleaned up and did the dishes.  Everyone pitched in so that we finished clean up early,  and were able to go night sledging.

Night sledging was at the top of Tschenten again.  Tonight whilst it was still foggy, at least it wasn't snowing like it was last time!

It was frezzing at the top of the mountain, and no wonder; it was minus eight down in town so it must have been at least minus 12 at the top!

All of the KISC and Our Chalet staff at night sledging!
